Proof of employment*
Employees should provide a certificate of employment which shoulf be on the company’s letterhead with address, telephone number and all the company’s data, employee’s personal data, date of employment and date of end of employment, if relevant, position and monthly salary, salary slips for the last six months. The certificate of employment must be fully completed and signed by authorized signatory and company’s stamp. The certificate of employment should not be older than 1 month on the date of documents submission.
If certificate of employment is signed by an applicant himself (in case on staff member), it’s necessary to submit documents substantiating his position in the company.
If the applicant’s actual place of work differs from the legal address of the organization, in this case it`s necessary to additionally write down information on the actual place of work of the applicant, especially, if the applicant works in a branch or representative office of the organization in another city.
Applicants hired by self-owned firm or business should submit a copy of a certificate from the Unified State Register of Individual Entrepreneurs (registered in the Unified State Register of Individual Entrepreneurs after 01.01.17, should provide an EGRIP record sheet made in the Unified State Register of Individual Entrepreneurs) or Extract from trade/fiscal registry. Proof of economic activity (e.g. 3NDFL form) should be provided for the last period period.
ALSO an extract from the Russian Pension and Social Insurance Fund for the last 10 years (Сведения о трудовой деятельности, предоставляемые из информационных ресурсов Фонда пенсионного и социального страхования Российской Федерации) should be provided. The document should be digitally signed.
Individual Entrepreneurs must provide a copy of a certificate from the Unified State Register of Individual Entrepreneurs (registered in the Unified State Register of Individual Entrepreneurs after 01.01.17, should provide an EGRIP record sheet made in the Unified State Register of Individual Entrepreneurs) or Extract from trade/fiscal registry.
Proof of economic activity (e.g. 3NDFL form) should be provided for the last period period.
Freelancers should submit the copies of service contracts and original bank account statement that confirm the payment of services rendered.
Self-employers should provide a certificate from the Internal revenue service on the status of transactions (incomes) for a current/previous year.
Retired person should submit pension certificate (original and copy) or reference from the Pension Fund (original and copy).
Students should submit letter from university and copy of student ID card. The letter should not be older than 1 month on the date of documents submission.
Unemployed should provide documents proving the applicant’s ties to Russia (i.e. vital statistics certificate, proof of property ownership) and a copy of the work booklet’s page with personal data and pages which show the holder’s job history at least during last three years, if applicable.
* - when applying for a visa for family reasons, proof of employment isn’t obligatory to provide for EU citizens family member (spouses; partners with whom the Union citizen has contracted a registered partnership, on the basis of the legislation of a Member State, if the legislation of the host Member State treats registered partnerships as equivalent to marriage and in accordance with the conditions laid down in the relevant legislation of the host Member State; the direct descendants who are under the age of 21 or are dependants and those of the spouse or partner; the dependent direct relatives in the ascending line and those of the spouse or partner).
