Who can submit documents for a visa

The application for a visa to Italy can be submitted by:

  • Russian citizens with a permanent registration in St. Petersburg, Murmansk, Pskov, Arkhangelsk, Vologda, Veliky Novgorod and the relevant regions as well as the Republic of Karelia;

  • Russian citizens registered in other regions apart from the main list of documents are required to provide:

  1. The reference from work / university or documents for residential property in this region (For details);

  2. Temporary registration in this region issued at least one month before the date of submission of documents to the visa application center and valid in total for at least 6 month (original + copy)

Please note that it is necessary to provide a temporary registration issued only through the official bodies of the Federal Migration Service (УФМС) or the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia (ГУ МВД), you can also provide a temporary registration with an electronic signature, issued on the website of ГОСУСЛУГ;

  • Foreign citizens apart from the main list of documents are required to provide:

  1. The reference from work / university or documents for residential property in this region (For details);

  2. A residence permit valid for at least 3 months after returning from the Schengen area or a registration from the Federal Migration Service (УФМС) or the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia (ГУ МВД) valid for at least 3 months after returning from the Schengen area and issued at least one month before the date of submission of documents to the visa application center (original + copy)

In both cases, these two documents are not interchangeable.

  • Documents can be presented at the Visa application center by:

1) Only an applicant above 18 years of age in person;

2) Parents for minor children in the presence of documents confirming relationship in the original + copies (birth certificate). In case of changing the surname / s, supporting documents must be also provided (marriage certificate, divorce certificate, name change certificate, etc.). Under the following conditions:

- If fingerprints while applying for Schengen visas were provided in the last 59 months on the territory of the Russian Federation (the transliteration of the first and last name on the visa must completely coincide with the transliteration of the first and last name in the passport)

OR

- in case of application for visa type D

Attention! Children between the ages of 16 and 18 must be present in person to submit documents, even if fingerprints have already been submitted.
